: Well I have been out of the loop so to speak with the feed bizz but two companies I do know that label medicated feed are Kelly rabbit pellets
: wich is available all over California . Another wich is in San Luis Obispo County is made by Templeton feed and grain ( Templeton CA ).

Hi Kevin,
Thanks so much. Just to be clear are the ppl who offer these with or with out chemicals?
May I post your above mail on the general warning about the meds in rabbit pellets on a couple lists that I moderate? Its good info and so many ppl use this for a substrate and food :(

:I have used both with no prob (for rabbits that is ) . Try a low proten content as most rabbit food is to high in proten for torts .
----
I hear you and am not an advocate of even using the hay for a substrate (dusty and if they fixate on eating it.....)
Thanks again for reminding us that some of these have chemicals and meds that we arnt bargaining for when we buy them.
take care,
tcc :)
