: how long (time wise) does it take leopard tortoises to reach full grown size? i heard an inch a year and being that they are roughly 20" it would take about 18 years...is this true? can you find any off these cb? thank you
Hi Manny,
You know there are so many things that effect growth. Females generally grow faster and get bigger but what you feed them has soooo much to do with it.
I have a twelve y/o female who came to live here last year and she is 18' SCL. She is pretty pyramided tho. Its not unusual for these guys to have raised vertbral scutes, but this girl is pretty pyramided everywhere (nothing like my other Leops about the same size)
Im linking a bunch of recently uploaded pictures on a page if you want to see her
Take care,
tcc :)
