Thing is Pamela that not all feed companies do that. I know one that is a well known company but will not mention it here as this can not only cause me legal probs ( poss slander suit ) but also cause Jeff B probs as well .
I feel the best substrat for torts from desert or near desert condetions is sand or a sand bed-a - beast mix ( which would look like sandy type soil ) .

: : some feed companies do put aditives such as antibiotics in the pellets . I know about this as I use to raise show rabbits . Alot of rabbit breeders would complain about this as they used some of thier rabbits for freash meat .
