Well I have been out of the loop so to speak with the feed bizz but two companies I do know that label medicated feed are Kelly rabbit pellets
wich is available all over California . Another wich is in San Luis Obispo County is made by Templeton feed and grain ( Templeton CA ).I have used both with no prob (for rabbits that is ) . Try a low proten content as most rabbit food is to high in proten for torts .
I still feel however that the normal tort foods are good enough with the vitamine and calcium suppliments to keep torts happy for years.
but if rabbit pellets work without harming your tort and benifets it then use them if it will try them that is.

: : I do not know if it is common pratice now but when I did raise rabbits some companies had a bad habit of not putting on the label if the pelletts where medicated or not. This is one big reason I had to search for a company that had all natural ingredints ( that goes for poultry as well ) . Why treat an animal for something it has not caught yet .
:
: Good point! The baby chick feed all is supposed to have antibiotics in it but its not listed on the bag.
: If a person insists on feeding alfalfa pellets, is there a kind that doesnt have this kind of stuff in it that you know of?
: Thanks,

: : If you do use rabbit pellets make sure you ask for a full list of whats in it before you buy it. It will save you some head ach down the road .

: : : : some feed companies do put aditives such as antibiotics in the pellets . I know about this as I use to raise show rabbits . Alot of rabbit breeders would complain about this as they used some of thier rabbits for freash meat .

: : : Hi Kevin,
: : : You make a really good point that I was unaware of. Goes to show that reading your lables is more valuable then ever.
