I think what would be helpful would be examples of the
fastest growth rates people have seen in animals fed
healthy diets that don't develop abnormalities like
pyramidding and such. We are attempting to determine a
time frame for how long we would have before we had a
very large tortoise. In which case a "worst case scenario"
(not that a fast growing tortoise is inately bad, but
you get my meaning, if you don't, ask, i'll explain)
would be helpful for determining timeframes and food
costs, winter and summer, etc...
If you have a sulcata that you got as a hatchling,
how long ago was that and how large is it now, how
large was it at 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 years, etc. Please
let us know that information, as well as how much it was
eating at the end of each year....
we'd have a large room for it, and a huge balcony, with
frequent trips to the large yard (unfortunately shared,
so I can't put a pen out there) but I'd want to know how
big, how soon, is the quickest, so I can see if our
future moving plans allow us to get one.

Thanks,
Nate
