Five years ago, I purchased mt first Redfoot from a classified ad. The original owner built a custom cage with an excellent heating system with materials obtained at home depot.
The heat source is a simple red light bulb mounted in the cage's top. The bulb is controlled by a 24volt furnace relay connected to a programable thermostat. The thermostat monitors the temperature inside the enclosure and energizes the relay to turn on the light when the temp drops below the preset level. I don't care for the ceramic emitters. I'm currently using an "infra-red chill chaser" bulb from Wal-mart that's outlasted 2 Pearlco ceramic units.
A friend in the electric, electronic or HVAC trades should be able to set you up.
