I agree that under good conditions, the nails should wear naturally, but I have clipped my hermann's nails. You can get small reptile claw clippers. Make certain that you avoid the quick (the dark vein in the nail). Having some quick-stop powder on hand is helpful if you do happen to nick this vein. You could also ask your vet to show you at your sulcata's next check up. That said, it is good to make certain your tort has different surfaces to clamber around on so that the nails can wear.

: i have a baby sulcata and his nails seem long. he looks like he has trouble walking. should i clip them? or leave them alone?
