:I really wish I had a sure answer for you. It is rare for me to hear about a tortoise that has lived a long life in captivity, and therefor I'm not sure how to deal with a possibly geriatric tortoise. I would recomend trying to give him a bigger variety of food to make sure he is not suffering from food bordom. I have also noticed that sometimes after a long hibernation my tortoise wont eat untill it has been in natural sunlight, not just a UV light but true natural sunlight. This seems to have some psychological benefit to the tortoise.
