: how long does it take these to hatch? they were laid/found on the morning of december 23, 2000. so it has been 148 days. i thought it took only 60-90 days for them to hatch. although i heard that sometimes up to a yr. the temp of incubator( homemade) does fluctuate some. temps i would say range 80-90 degrees. good humidity. eggs look good. white, no dimples. i mean, if they weren't good wouldn't after such a long time they would show signs of being bad? i know the temp should probably be more constant but its been the same since day one. any advice, thoughts? thank you
Hi, if the eggs still look good and don't smell I would just leave them be. One book I have says 90-100 days for Bells the other says 90-125 days. You never know. Have the eggs seemed to get bigger as time went on? I've noticed my boxie eggs get rounder and somewhat bigger when they are fertile. Don't give up hope, you may be suprised one morning!
