It sounds as if your tortoise is having respirtory distress. It could be a few things. One is infection and don't walk (run) to a vet. The open mouthed breathing is distress.
Second, you didn't happen to leave it in the direct sun? Could it have has sun stroke? The sympotoms point that way also. Either way you need a vet asap.

: : well I just go home from the weekend and I feed my African Spured tortoise and then left and I came bake about two hours and founf him almost hiccuping and what looks like water is comeing out of his mouth and his nose I dont know if he ate to much or what but I have never seen this before....he is only an year and a half and I cant take him to a vet tell tomarrow what should I do?
: I'm a new Tortoise owner, but This just happened to my Spur thigh a couple of weeks ago. Same thing, blowing bubbles and hiccups. It happened after he was outside and I thought he was over heated. I took him to the vet and he had a respiratory infection. He had 3 shots of anti biotics over 9 days and he is doing great. Good luck.
