Sergio, there is one study that I know of where the actual 'crossover' temperature was determined and that was with either T.graeca or hermanni or both. Now what Heather says is true in that the crossover temperature was determined to be 86 degrees. Most of the assumptions you read about are based on this study (bull)(the author not a statement) It would seem that this temperature might be a standard but is definately not conclusive. (This crossover point is not valid for T. kleinmanni)(at least in my case)

: I recently got a tortoise hatchling and it was incubated at 85-87 degrees ferenheight = F. What sex is this more less? is it male or female?
