Some people swear by temperature sex determination - others say you can't and that
you really won't know until they reach a certain age or size. Estimating would be just a guess and there are too many variables - like were all thermometers correct, were the temps stable, etc.
You also don't say what kind of tortoise. Incubation temperatures vary for different tortoises.
And the temperature range you list is vague...
For Desert Tortoises, people have told me 85 degrees is a male, 87 is a female.
I incubated at 87 degrees and got two males and a female.
