If it is a hatchling get it to a vet ASAP. Ask the vet to check the fecal for excessive bacteria. With what you are providing it should be just fine. So, I'm inclined to think there is something going on internally. A common problem with tortoises in general that are under one year old is this bacterial bloom (for lack of a better description) I have treated this very successfully with Flagyl(metronidozole) but if gone untreated it leads to a blood infection and eventually liver failure. It's not a big deal if you can get it to a vet. Don't tell the vet that this is the problem. Ask that he/she look into it.
I found that this can be avoided by providing water at all times and making sure there is a temperature range of 75 - 100 F. It sounds like your dietary needs are being met.
: Help !!! My leopard tortoise has suddenly developed a soft bottom shell. What could cause this? It has been indoors all winter, I fees lots of dark greens, grass hay, and MAZURI tortoise pellets. I also provide plenty of full spectrum lighting. Any help would be great, I don't want to lose tis guy.
: Thanks
