: I live in AZ, and have a Mesquite Tree, a Blue Leaf Wattle tree (which I "think" is in the Acacia (sp) family and a Texas Sage bush. I'm afraid I dont know the scientific names, and I dont know where exactlly to look. Our 5 Sulcatas and 2 Leopards get all the best greens, veggies etc but we would like to feed them these too if okay that is..Does anyone know or know where I can find out?? Thanks so much!!
Hello from a fellow Texan :)
Acacia saligna>> Is this the tree? Its flowers are listed as edible.
The Mesquite seed is listed as edible.
The sage has so many different varieties. Most have probs associated with ingesting lg quantities or allergic reactions noted.
Have you tried Mulberry, grape and hibiscus leaves?
I have a pretty extensive page dedicated to edible landscaping and tracking down edible/ nutritional info linked below.
Take care,
Theresa aka tcc :)
