i think you misunderstood me. i have no female desert tortoises, and i was just saying that i have a hatchling which of course i don't know the gender of. for one thing its totally illegal to trade, buy, sell, any tortoises in the genus gopherus, and i was not implying that i wanted to get rid of mine. i'm sorry if this caused a misunderstanding.
