: Hi,
: I have owned reptiles for 10 years or so and currently have over 25 different animals, anyway I was thinking about getting a tort. I was wondering what is a good species to begin with? Also As I live in Canada I would like something that stays fairly small as outdoor time is limited. Also any care tips, I have read quite a bit recently but I cannot decide what to get.
: Any help would be greatly appreciated
: Thank you very much
: Tom

Hi Tom,
Why don't you research a Russian tortoise? They aren't too expensive and are a hardy species which do better in more northern climates than many others. They also don't grow to be super large.
