: How long have you had them set up in this?
2 weeks
Are the plants potted?
No - they are planted right in the substrate, which is potting soil.
How big are the tortoises?
Not that big - about 6" long
What are you feeding them?
They munch on some of the plants in the tank, as well as eat a lot of earthworms, slugs, superworms and some other greens (collard, clover)
What temperatures are you keeping them at?
There are various "hot spots" - 90F is the warmest, 75F is the coolest.
Is there a water bowl?
Yes - over to the left is a shallow water bowl they use every day.
Is there a drain in the tank?
No. I layered it with mulch in the bottom.
What kind of lighting are you using?
Ceramic heater at night, and various wattage bulbs in different spots during the day. They will have an outdoor enclosure shortly for the summer, but they don't really bask, so I dont' have UVB - just add a bit of calcium to the food.
: VERY nice setup.
Thanks!
: Sorry for all the questions but it looks like you put a great deal of thought into their setup and I though you could answer these questions. Thanks.

: (btw, didn't you know you can't keep tortoises in a fish tank)
Normally you can't and I don't, but this was the best possible indoors set-up for these guys. The tank is 6 feet long, which gives them plenty of room to play with. They'll get plenty of outdoor time this summer, as does my Leopard Tortoise.
