Sulcatas seem to grow much faster in captivity.
I guess because food is so readily available and higher in protein than their natural/wild diet.
Hoku is the only sulcata that I have an almost exact age on. I know he hatched last year, but that's it!
Of course he was so ill for months, it could have retarted his growth during that time.
Still.
It will be interesting to see how he grows. I'm aiming for no pyramiding, we'll see!
But looking good so far.
Bubba and Chewie are aproximately 4 years old, those two are both around 8".
I was just surprised that a one year old sulcata could be 7". I would have thought around 4" at the most.
Hows that Angel Baby doing, any new escapades?!!
