Terry, the little stars are holdbacks that hatched in 2000. They are from true Sri Lankan adults and are unrelated to any other stars in the US. Right now I am primarily focusing on the elegans. But I do have a nice group of P. a. arachnoides that have produced 6 eggs for me this season! These will actually be captive bred (not just captive born)...as my females did not produce last year and I observed copulation on several occasions. Over the years I have worked with everything from gopher tortoises (before the legislation banning possession!) to Aldabras. I still have a few odd specimens of this or that. I have an archive of photos, I'll try to start posting them now and again...
