You can keep them indoors if you provide a source of UVB radiation. Also it will need a calcium with D3 supplement. Keep in mind if you use a full spectrum tube you'll need to replace it every 90 days, thats as long as they give off UVB radiation. I hear some of the newer bulbs last longer but I have no personal knowledge of them. Even if you must keep them inside most of the year they would benefit from any time outside you can provide.
