:I have a similar specimen.The leghtn of mine is about 15 inches.This is the most common turtle/tortoise fossil ever found.They were native to among other places-Nebraska,S.Dakota,and Wyoming-I sure wish they were still around because I live in Nebraska.Does yours have any leg or skull bones present?Thanks for the photo.
By the way,mine don't eat much-haha.

The species is Stelemys nebrascensis. This guy is 30,000,000 to 36,000,000 years old. Thought that you guys would enjoy the picture.
