I think if you try to subscribe to that list using a browser type address (like hotmail) it gets bounced. If you subscribe with an AOL address or Prodigy or whatever, then there is not a problem. (I think)

In the time I have belonged to that list I have never seen a problem with SPAM or flame wars. If you write Annie, and give her your address, I am sure she would be happy to have you join the list. I bet she will remember you.
