: My red foot has tried to bite my feet twice in the last week. He was pretty presistant too. Each time I left my bare foot in front of him, he walked up, smelled my feet, and tried to bite my toes. He didn't get me either time, but he is getting bigger now, and I don't want to have to worry about him biting somebody on the finger or something down the road. I'm guessing my feet don't smell like roses, but maybe they do and that is why he wants to take a bite out of them.
: Should I be concerned about this?

Hi,
I have several box turtles (6) and during the summer (when they are outside) one male tries to bite both my feet and hands. This only happens when he is outdoors. When he is in the house, he has never tried to bite. He doesn't even show interest in my fingers and toes. I always thought that was because he associated my fingers and toes with food. During the summer months, they eat more live foods, worms, bugs, spiders etc. Don't know if any of this helps, but I felt like sharing LOL
