Bibliomania
Zoo Book sales
Natural History books (Don Hahn)
Look up these dealers if you have an interest in chelonian litterature outside of the popular. Then if you want to find some really good books you will have to pick up a little German. You will see that any of the popular stuff pales compared to what the germans have to offer.
Unfortunately they don't like publishing in english.
Then, go to the back of Andys book to the reference section and start hunting for the sources where he got his info.
btw. EJ aka Ed has been keeping herps for well over 30 years. Collecting herp litterature is another hobby of mine.

: Books are your friend.
: They teach you about your animal.
: That way you do not need emergency advice on a forum.
: Forums are fun, but probably a bad place to seek a solid opinion. These folks seem to be arguing all the time.
: Authors such as R. C. Paull and A. C. Highfield wrote great Tortoise books about care and housing of torts.
: My advice is to read them before purchasing your animal.
: The best way to deal with problems is to prevent them.
: Thanks
