: I don't know about you but if I walk into a pet store and look at tortoise books, I see mainly three authors Highfield, Paull, and Bartlett. These are the books that are commonly availlable. If you or Tcc put out a good book, and I like it then I would probably buy it. Especially if it has a section on pyramiding. Just kidding. My recommendation was based on availlability, I know knew people are rising up in the hobby, but older experts can still teach us alot.

Very good points Justin. I find that books by people who have actually done scientific study of tortoises, are invaluable tools. I agree anyone who buys a animal of any type should also buy a book on it. I find that most of the questions I respond to on all the kingsnake forums would not be asked if the person had purchased a simple manual on their animal. I believe that is the piont you are trying to make. I don't feel insulted at all by your comment. But again, I've mellowed in my old age and don't consider myself a expert. Good luck and buy all the books you can afford.

Tim
