Lets start with the basics it is Sulcata, not salcata.

Sorry bro but it is true. Ditch the vet, unless he/she specializes in reptiles. You must be paying a crap load of vet bills. Some antibiotics are potentially lethal in torts. No more mulch or bark. He is from the outskirts of the sahara, try lizard or critter litter(That's what I keep mine on) Does he have a basking light. If so good. Add calcium to his diet along with vitamins. No water dish is needed, instead soak him once or twice a week. Keep the water level low he can not swim, contrary to what some people on this post may try to convince you of. Make sure he has plenty of ventilation. No drafts from windows or doors though. If you have any more problems feel free to email me. You might consider seeking the assistance of a vet who specializes in reptiles.
