: Teddy has never urinated when picked up or anything
: else, he's completely used to us and comes to my
: hand when I wiggle it to pick him up. We just
: got back from a car ride out to look at how
: construction is going on our new house, and he
: didn't do anything in his carrier except walk
: around a bit until he decided it was less bumpy
: to lay down! lol
I have a tortoise that urinates when i pick it up, is there something wrong with that?
it's a tetsudo gracea tortoise...and it is 9 years old...
by the way, nice photo, and it's a really cute animal, i've visited the page, nice job keep the work done my friend, i'll visit it every now and then....i like the music too...
: Work with yours, always gently, and pick him up
: to do "good" things, like before feeding, or
: getting outside. Hopefully this habit/reflex
: will stop. Maybe someone who has had one do this
: can tell you more, but I know other animals do
: this also and the technique is about the same,
: stay calm, don't react to it (by putting him down
: instantly for example) just say sweet things and
: make your hand and getting picked up an association
: with positive things. Mine gives kisses even
: (eskimo style). Again, he's really tame from lots
: of time spent with him. good luck! niki
