: I searched all of the postings, and gathered a lot of information. Just wanted to check with everyone, and see if anybody else has more ideas. I recently expanded my leopard torts outside pen, and I noticed a few fire ants and other small ants. I'm gonna try Brent's boric acid/mint apple jelly recipe. Any other ideas? I treat all the nests that appear in the yard, but I want to keep these ants out of the pen. Thanks in advance for suggestions.
Hi Kerry,
We just had a long thread on this on the African Tortoise list.
Some folks are using boiling hot soapy water or Diatomaceous Earth. I like Amdro in areas of the yard where the torts arnt allowed to graze.
