I think i already made it real clear about greens but found this on Annies site, so perhaps you can have her explain it better.
Grocery store produce is too high in water, as well as sugars, often
contains pesticide residue, and some store produce actually inhibits the
absorption of calcium, a badly needed item in any tortoise's diet. It is
also an insufficient source for vitamins, minerals, and other trace
elements. There are no produce markets in the wild! Think of terrestrial
tortoises as a "cow with a shell."
