Please answer these questions.
How big is the tortoise?
Why was he on antibiotics?
Is he still recieving shots?
How is he housed, substrate used and temperatures, day and night?
What are you feeding him?
Do you use a UV bulb?
Which state do you live in and is the tortoise housed indoors?
Please answer all the above questions. Sorry there's so many, but your answers might offer clues to what's wrong.
I would discontinue soaking him in the electrolite solution and soak in plain water.
Soak once a day for around 10 -20 minutes in shallow, lukewarm water without anything added to it.
When he starts eating again you can soak less often.
Make sure a shallow/small dish of water is ALWAYS available for him to drink from.
Make sure that the temperatures are correct.
Daytime around 94 in the warmer end, but there MUST be a cooler side of around 75 degrees.
Night time temperature of 75 degrees.
Make sure that your husbandry is correct.
Make sure you are using UV lighting and that the temperatures are right.
If you don't use UV lighting for a tortoise housed indoors it WILL get a soft shell and suffer from other problems.
You havn't mentioned what you're offering the tortoise to eat but try Endive and Romaine lettuce chopped up, add in a bit of grated yellow squash.
Or try the greens with a little grated carrot.
You can also feed dandelions, escarole, chicory, hibiscus flowers, mulberry leaves..
Sulcatas are grazing herbivores, so time outdoors ( weather permiting) grazing on grasses, edible weeds etc is a good way to go.
Sulcatas are torts with a good appetite, if it's not eating something's wrong.
It could be something simple.
Incorrect temperatures, substrate, lack of UV lighting........
So please explain your set up, and tell us what you're offering it to eat and why it was on antibiotics.
You might need to switch vets, if this one is not experienced with tortoises. What caused the other sulcatas death?
Check out the web site below for info on sulcata care, you'll find all sorts of good info, including vet listings.
