Hi There,
Cat poop is bound to be high in fats and protein- not a good tort food. They also are carriers for parasites that your torts will no doubt pick up. I often wonder if the ivermectin that is used for a cat wormer being passed in stools, would be concentrated enough to cause harm. (Ivermectin is lethal as a wormer in chelonians)
If these are smaller torts, i would consider building a predator proof pen that the cats cant get into.
My walk in pens are made of chicken wire but the bigger torts (sulcatas and leops) have free access to the grazing area all day. To combat our kitty poop prob, I go out with a bucket and pick up every stool that can be found before the torts even have access to the grazing area.
Im pasting a link to pictures of habitats that you might consider.
take care,
tcc :)
