: I have had a Redfoot for about a month now. He is very healthy.
: Every morning he poops in his soak water (nice and firm), then attacks his food pile. Then he spends the rest of his day hiding in the log thing. You never see him just out strolling around his enclosure. If you take him out of the log he walks over to his food dish and eats some more, or else goes in the water bowl and takes a drink. He is gaining weight, his eyes are clear, he looks great!! I was just wondering why he hides so much. I tried reducing the brightness in his enclosure, no change. It is about 85-90 degrees in the warm spot, and about 70 degrees at the cool end. Am I expecting too much? Am I expecting a dog-like pet that would push a little ball around?
: How about some advice.

:
: Thanks, Dan

This is normal behavior for Redfoots. Although Redfoots do seem to have individual personalities they will never be like a dog. I've trained my herd of 5 to come when called, at feeding time. That's about as much as you can expect. Good luck,

Tim
