Terry is right, no pine either.
Terry is lucky and doesn't have much use for indoor setups. I do and I recommend using CareFresh for indoor pen substrate with layered newspaper underneath to absorb any fluids. If you want to still use wood, try Aspen Particles which you can find in the substrate aisles in most pet shops. Lizard Litter is in essence the same thing, but IMHO it's too lightweight and does not provide enough traction.
