Hi Marie--

No problem. This is my hermanni boettgeri, Carlotta. She's just about one year old. She too has a healthy appetite! Actually, I think that I may have been a bit too generous with the food for awhile. Slow growth is important for their bones, so overfeeding can be harmful. I've cut back a bit. How old are your Hermann's? Are they hermanni hermanni or hermanni boettgeri? And where do you live? Isn't it warm enough for some outdoor time in the summer? Even a few hours a day is nice for the torts. :-)

Jennifer

: Hi Jennifer
: Thank you so much for answering all of my questions. I have ordered a UV light but I am still waiting for it to come in the mail. Do you have any Hermann's tortoises or just similar ones? So far mine are doing really well. They're great eaters and they are very active. I'm still in the process of designing their permanent home. They will be indoors year round because it is too cold where I live to house them outdoors. Well, thanks again for all of your help.
: Marie
