: However, you should really not be deworming a tortoise unless you are sure it HAS worms to begin with. Easy to do...take the tortoise to the vet for an exam...bring a fresh fecal sample to have it analyzed...if it comes back positive, the vet will give you deworming medicine appropriate for the type of worm(s) or eggs present. I DO NOT recommend self-diagnosing and self-medicating your tortoise outside of veterinary care and supervision...
