: My Leopard Tortoise was making strange sounds-kind of like he was "blowing his nose". I picked him up and noticed bubbles coming from his nose. Very healthy appetite, very active. Any advice-should he immediatly go to the vet? Thanks!
Yes take him to the vet. he has a respiratory infection and needs antibiotics. The root cause of respiratory infection in tortoises is Vitamin A deficiency. Are you sprinkling a vitamin supplement on his food once a week? If you would like to know more about Vitamin A deficiency Email me. Good luck,
Tim
