: I have learned not to freak out right away when something happens to my babies, but I came home today and found little bloody scratch marks on the tile floor in the bathroom. Chanel will signify that he wants to "do duties" in the tub by walking up and down by it, but if nobody is home to lift him into the tub, than he will just sit and wait in the bathroom, or continue to "pace" the tub. I picked him up and turned him over, and there was a little bloody patch between the "pebbles" on the fatty pad of his back left foot. I have had Chanel and Angel Baby break off their toenails before, and that is nothing to really worry about, but this is a new problem. This worn-down part of his foot reminds me of a human foot when it has been calloused and hardened but the skin is still prone to problems, I guess like cuts. I am concerned over this - should I rush him to a vet?

Treat the wound like any other wound. Then find out how it hurt itself so you can prevent it in the future.
