Hi Jesse,

make the enclosure as big as you can. For one Russian I would go at least 8'-8', even bigger if possible.

Build the enclosure in a grassy area that recieves both sun and shade. Make sure there are hiding spots in the shade for her, not justy a bare, open pen.

As long as there's no pestisides and fertilizers the yard grass and weeds are fine. My pair of Russians live outdoors year round,in a 20' -10' enclosure.They are not heavy grazers like sulcatas but nibble every now and then.

Grass and weeds are fine, it's certain plants that you have to be careful with, dafodils for example are highly toxic to tortoises.
