I have to leopard tortoises also. If you keep it indoors you need to make sure you have right temp. gradient ( about 72-85). you need to soak your tortoise in lukewarm water (no deeper than up to plastron) every day or less depending on age. Also you need to provide full spectrum UV bulb (needs to be exchanged every 12 months) . Make sure you use calcium supplement with food everyday and , 2-3 times a week multivitamin supplement. : Got a leopard tort for x-mas need as much info as I can get she is a picky eater, small less then a pound and fits in my hand, bobs head all the time (vet says its ok) and her eyes get watery sometimes. I feed her alfalfa pellets, endive, collard, squash, she will not eat fruit, i've tried apple, bannana, grapes she puts them to the side. shell seems to be growing. any help will be great.
