: Tim, if I remember correctly, oxalates are a by-product of plant metabolism so most or all plants have some oxalate level. Collards actually have a fairly high level of oxalates compared to some other commonly fed greens. However, they also have a high amount of calcium and an excellent Ca:Ph ratio. Turtle cafe has a chart that says collards are low in oxalic acid. Who you going to believe. I think I'll keep feeding the balanced diet my Vet. recommends. My redfoots have been on it for eight years and their fat and healthy.
