: The diet proposed by www.tortoise.com is fine for desert tortoises but it doesn't contain enough protein to keep a red-foot healthy. Red-foots are omnivors in the wild feeding on grasses and carrion (dead animals). Their diet would be fine if you added a source of protein.

Sorry Maja I thought Alex had a redfoot. I'm not sure what he has, so your suggested diet may very well be the right one. I've been responding to so many questions I'm loosing track of who I'm talking to.
