Hi,
I keep mine in the house during the night, and outside during the day.The picture there is one idea for ya. If you have a small area in your house put a cardboard box a little bigger then the tort and fill it with some care fresh and that can be their night box (the generally wont be running around during the night hours). Then during the day put them outside. I have 2 different breeds sleeping indoors at night and their paths have never crossed. Indoor enclosures are good for only about 2 years with the G. Sulcata, growing at a decent comfortable rate ( 5 to 8 inches) unless you have the room for one of those elaborate tortoise tables which do work well, but in my opinion look awful funky (go to the Sulcata Station for info on how to make one).
Other then that, to sum it up..Niki's word "NONE"
is pretty much it. Unfortunately there is not a "better mouse trap" when it comes to housing for the Great African Spurred Tortoise.
Ciao'
Giovanni
