What tortoise is right for Ohio?

I am interested in obtaining a tortoise. I would like to have the tortoise outside in the summer months (in mostly hot and sometimes humid NE Ohio) and bring it indoors in the winter. I want a large tortoise, but not a giant one. One I can carry if need be. I am leaning towards a Redfoot, but am drawn to Leopard and Star. My research (books, online, people) is giving me mixed reviews. Lots of differing opinions gets really confusing! If anyone can help me sort out the right sort of tort for my area I would be so grateful. Thanks!
