he was fed exclusively kale at the pet store. i tried collards and cactus (dusted w/ ESU vitasaur) when i got him home. and i squirted some Exact baby bird formula in his mouth (TERRRIBLE idea i've been told, so i've stopped) the granules of exact more or less passed through unchanged (aside from being incorporated into a turd) after i got the little tort under a reptisun bulb and a basking bulb, he started moving around more and actually did some observable feeding. i'm worried that he might just be passing the food as soon as he gets it into his body. the duration of his digestive cycle appears to be anywhere from a day to two days. i heard something about young tortoises needing to have in their digestive tract a certain microfauna. the same source (i can't remember from where) also said that these young tortoises innoculate themselvs with these microorganisms by eating the feces of adults. i think i read that the same works with iguanas.
