Sulcata is easy to take care only for the first few years. Obviously it gets too large and they do not hibernate. That means you will need to keep a giant in your room. Red foot tortoises get large, but again, they do not hibernate. I recommend Greek tortoise (t.g.Ibera). They could get as large as 10"+ and quite hardly if you provide suitable environment. Go to kingsnake.com/classified. There is someone named Dean selling C.B.hatchlings. I bought a healthy hatchling from him 1.5 year ago and it is now about 3.5" large. Good luck.
: I live in Bellevue, Washington. I don't have any dogs. I have a large lawn for a tortoise to roam around in. I want a tort more than 10 inches and less than 20 inches when it's full grown. I s a red or yellow foot good?
