In Reply to: Active UV Bulb....Zapped! posted by Marissa on February 20, 2001 at 22:18:55:

in California (805) 564-1715 and ask for Joe if
he doesn't pick up the phone, usually he does.
They are "Wild Inside" is the name of the company
that makes these lights. Expect to send the
defective bulb back, I sent three back and they
were a few bucks each to mail. If it's defective
you don't need to cushion it too much. He reimbersed
me for the postage and then some.

I use the 160 watt Active UV light when I'm gone for Teddy,
though he still has a 100 watt regular bulb and
a 150 watt ceramic heater on a thermostat different
switches, so he won't be frozen for a few hours
in case the Active does pop off again (they're a
tad sensitive as you know, and do NOT give the
rattling sound a normal broken bulb will give
you when shaken - it's a mercury gas thing, don't
ask, I'm not really that much into it! LOL)

When I come home and on the weekends, I use a
normal 150 spot for him instead, just flipping
different switches, not bulb changes of course.
I'm not 100% sure of those suckers around humans.
good luck, niki (by the way - it doesn't
hurt to mention the words Kingsnake.com forum when
chatting with Joe either, he knows it's all
about reputation).
