Hi.
Do you live in a climate where year round outdoor housing is possible?
If so I recommend the sulcata.
However they do get big and require a lot of room.
Redfoots are also very nice tortoises.
Redfoots require a more humid environment, sulcatas an arid one. The diet also differs between these two species.
I live in Hawaii and have 4 sulcatas, they live outdoors ,except for the baby who comes indoors at night.
If you live in a warm climate and have a good size yard a sulcata is a good choice.
