: I need answers
: how do you take care of it what tank does it need and lights and every thing!!!!!!!! please help please!!!!! please!!!!!!!!!

i was in the same situation last year when i purchased a russian to keep it from dying. as for enclosures i don't recommend any aquarium for what was already stated and the air inside the tank tends to get stale or stinky. i have my only russian is in a under the bed sweater box which seems to do fine for now until i have more room to build an enclosure for her. as far as feeding her i would suggest a wide variety of leafy greens like endive, romain, escarole, green or red leaf lettuce ect. offer water at all times they usually won,t drink but you may never know. don't try to make instant freinds with your little guy remember it was taken away from its home and now it has to deal with us to provide for it. it took some time for mine to come around and now she will eat from my hand if i move slowly. she also know that its time to eat and comes walking over when i'm putting fod in her dish. also the most inportant of all is get her to a vet and have a complete culture done on her, it ma cost a bit but its worth it in the long run. good luck with your little guy or girl brian m.
