breeding russian tortiose

i have one male and two female tortioses living together they have been out of hibernation for about four weeks. My goal is to breed them,(this is the first time i am atempting to breed tortioses) is it ok to keep the male with them at all times or introduce him every so often? And is there any other preperations i need to make? Thanks
