Baytril is an antibiotic I don't know why the vet prescribed it if the turtles had a vitamin deficiency.
But I'm not a vet, the other drug I've never heard of, maybe somebody else can help you out there.
I'm going to post at an email list and see if I can get some answers there for you.
When on baytril it's important to keep the turtles well hydrated, so lots of shallow soaks. At least once a day.

Sorry about the death of your turtle, if you don't feel comfortable with your vet maybe it's time to see a new one.
Can you tell us how the turtles are housed, substrate, temperatures, diet etc?
